First, we have the type of carbs that are used to mix fuel and air in a combustion engine.
Then, we have the carbs that provide an immediate source of energy to the body.
If either one was banned forever, which should it be? Keep in mind:
If you ban carburetors, every vehicle that came stock with a carburetor will vanish. No more ‘72 Coupe de Villes, vintage Mustangs, Duesenbergs, original 911s, classic Mercs, and the like.
But if you ban carbohydrates, that means no more appetizing pizza, spaghetti, fried chicken...or much of anything involving bread for that matter.
Carbohydrates all day for me. Just look at the price difference.

Eh, fuel systems can always be replaced, but even if all carbed cars were banned, there were a handful of classics with mechanical fuel injection.
remember, no carbs, no beer.
Beer wins!

I can do without junk food and beer.

I fucking love bread, so this isn’t even a question for me.

These came with a (direct) fuel injection system.

Don’t you dare take any of my cookies and pizza away.

Food carbs. Keep the pizza and use the energy to LS swap away all the mech carbs.
Best of all worlds.

I don’t understand why you would ban automotive carbs. They aren’t used in modern automobiles, and many classics get retrofit with EFI. Nothing wrong with the few remaining builds that use carbs. The other carbs on the other hand - everything in moderation. No need for banning those either.

Can you do without potatoes, wheat, rice, corn, beans, fruits, leafy green vegetables, milk, and everything made from those things?

One does not think of carburetors as fondly after rebuilding a motorcycle engine with four of the bloody things.

If you ban carbohydrates, all sports will become boring, since athletes cannot perform on fat alon. If you want power, you need to burn carbs. More info here:

Carburettors can be replaced with injection.

Considering there are some carbohydrates that are necessary for, you know, living... Goodbye, cars. :(

The kind on a pipe that makes me want to eat lots of the second group.
Except for pasta. The Italians really suck at noodles.

I dunno? We are living in the future, its 2015. All food should come in pill form soon.

I prefer a different type altogether.

You sick bastard. This is a worst choice than which of your kids do you save. Obviously you save the smart one. But here, man, there are no answers.

The real dilemma here is that eliminating edible carbs would eliminate beer. I don’t know which I’d miss more, the cars or good beer.
